<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition that has effects of stimulating synthesis of collagen, particularly procollagen I, collagen IV, collagen VII and laminin V, considering that it is an effective means for overcoming the signs of ageing of the skin. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The composition comprises, in a physiologically acceptable medium, a combination of at least one monosaccharide selected from among mannose, rhamnose and a mixture thereof and at least one additional compound selected from among a C-glycoside, a derivative thereof and a mixture thereof. Particularly, the composition is suitable for a cosmetic composition and/or a dermatological composition. The use of the composition is provided. A device containing the composition is also provided.
