WORKSTATION FOR REMOTE PLATFORM CONTROL

A workstation system for remote platform and payload control is disclosed. The system includes a display screen for displaying visual data relating to the platform or the payload; a first control cluster designed to be operated by a first hand of an operator and a second control cluster designed to be operated by a second hand of the operator. The first control cluster includes a control grip in the form of a joystick and the second control cluster includes a control grip in the form of an ergonomic hand-rest. The first and second control clusters are designed to be concurrently operable by the operator. Operable controls are provided on the first and the second control clusters, for controlling the platform and payload. One or more of the operable controls are distinguishable by distinct tactile cues.
