PURPOSE: A detergent box for a drum type washing machine is provided to prevent detergent from remaining on the inner wall of a receiving unit after the completion of water supply by not forming the part with which water makes contact when the water passes through the receiving unit. CONSTITUTION: A detergent box for a drum type washing machine is composed of a receiving unit, and a guide path. The receiving unit is formed at a water supply pipe(62a). A through-hole is formed in the receiving unit. The through-hole is communicated with a tub. Water is supplied through the water supply pipe. Detergent is accepted in the receiving unit. The guide path enables the water supplied along the water supply pipe to be branched and to be supplied into the receiving unit. The guide path is branched from the end connected to the water supply pipe and is communicated with the supply hole of the receiving unit.
