A method for storing data containing audio information comprises providing a group of vocoders and a switch capable of acquiring a plurality of vocoder selection positions. Setting the switch to a selected vocoder selection position permits transfer of data containing audio information toward a vocoder from the group of vocoders corresponding to the position of the switch.
