PURPOSE: A voice guide control device for a microwave oven and a method thereof are provided to prevent unnecessary noises from being generated due to the leak electric wave of the high frequency during a cooking process by connecting a sound source driving unit and a speaker when voice guidance is required. CONSTITUTION: A voice guide control device for a microwave oven comprises following steps. If voice guidance request signals are inputted(S21), a sound source driving unit is enabled, and a sound source driving unit and a speaker are connected(S24). Voice guidance according to the voice guidance request signals, the corresponding voice guidance is enabled(S25). The connection between the sound source driving unit and the speaker is cut off if voice guidance is completed(S26). If the voice guidance request signal is inputted during the cooking process, the cooking process is suspended(S27) and If the voice guidance is completed, the cooking process is enabled(S28).
