<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply manufacture an apatite sintered compact having orientation that crystal surface is oriented without using a magnetic field. <P>SOLUTION: The oriented apatite sintered compact in which a-surface is vertically oriented and c-surface is parallel to the compression direction is obtained by compressing apatite powder to ≥10 MPa and ≤80 MPa, impressing pulse voltage for ≥100 min to heat and sintering at ≥900°C and ≤1,200°C. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
