PURPOSE: A mobile terminal having OLED changing a background and a color of a character and a electric power control method thereof are provided to display a background consisted of a white color to a black color and display character as a white color when displaying on a website, thereby reducing consumption power of AMOLED(Active Matrix Organic Light Emitting Diode) light emitting method. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit(110) receives a webpage including a plurality of templates on an internet mode. A control unit(130) changes at least one color included in a template among the templates and displays a web page including a template which color is changed on a display unit(143). The control unit changes color information of a background template including data about a background into black. The control unit changes color information of a text template including data about a character to white.
