PURPOSE: A humidifier and a control method thereof are provided to continuously maintain humidity set by a user by gradually controlling the heat quantity of a heater. CONSTITUTION: A humidifier comprises a humidification part, a blower part(60), a humidity sensor(50), a heating part(40), and a controller(10). The humidification part humidifies indoor air using a humidification filter. The blower part flows in the indoor air and discharges the humidified air. The humidity sensor senses current humidity. The heating part heats the indoor air. The controller controls the operation of the blower part and maintains the current humidity in a target humidity range.
