PURPOSE: A bobbinless winding machine and a method thereof are provided to prevent a failure of assembling a tack type coil in a printed circuit board resulting from the swelling of the coil. CONSTITUTION: A bobbinless winding machine comprises a pin(110), a driving part, a core member(130), and an elastic member. A wedge shaped tip is formed in the pin. The driving part moves the pin to back and forth. The core member comprises an upper core(131) and a lower core(132). When the upper and lower cores are faced each other, the cross section of a part where a coil is wound is in a track shape. After winding of the coil, the lower core is separated from the upper core by the forward movement of the wedge shaped tip. The lower member elastically supports the lower core so as to apply a restoring force to the lower core during the backward motion of the coil.
