PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of molding patterned transparent synthetic resin lid by which a patterned film is insertion-molded to the bottom face of a top plate of a transparent lid with its rim bent downward and the film is positioned correctly at a prescribed position without being shifted by a molten resin material injected into the cavity from the gate and a die used for the molding method. SOLUTION: A projected die section 16 having the top surface 13 for forming the bottom surface of the lid and the outer circumferential surface 14 for forming the inner circumferential surface of the bent down rim is provided on a movable die 12. A flange 21 is raised from the outer edge of the projected die section 16 facing the gate 7. The patterned transparent synthetic resin lid is molded by placing the patterned film 19, in contact with the inner surface of the flange, on the upper surface 13 of the projected die and insertion-molding the film.
