A fitting, especially for windows and/or doors, comprises two strips. The first strip is connected to a frame and the second strip is connected to a casement. At least one strip has a receiving section for accommodating a seal (23), located on the first strip. The receiving section is parallel to the longitudinal axis of the fitting, and has a longitudinal groove for holding the seal. The outer glass fixing unit has a receiving groove for eg a sheet of glass. The receiving groove opening and the longitudinal groove opening are at right angles to one another. |
