PURPOSE: A plate for a gas holder and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce grinding work and accurately cut a flat board using a laser. CONSTITUTION: A method of manufacturing a plate for a gas holder comprises the steps of: preparing a flat board, forming first and second cut grooves on the flat board by cutting the portions where a first and a second square corner part(122,132) are to be located, forming first and second bent parts(121,131) so that the second cut groove is perpendicular to either a base plate(110) or a second bent plate(130), and overlay-welding the first and second cut grooves and grinding them to form the first and second square corner parts.
