PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste gas treating device and a waste gas treating method provided with an effective countermeasure to the deterioration of catalytic activity at waste gas treating operation in the waste gas treating device using a catalytic reaction. SOLUTION: In the waste gas treating device 1 provided with a catalytic reaction equipment 7 for decomposing a harmful gas in the waste gas discharged from a waste incineration furnace 2, the waste gas treating device 1 in which a means 24 for activating the catalyst is provided on a waste gas treating passage 52 at the upstream position of the catalytic reaction equipment 7. The waste gas treating method and a method for activating the catalyst are provided. |
