A blast-resistant armoured land vehicle 10 includes a body 12 comprised of sheet materials, the body having a centreline, an upper portion including opposite side portions, a first bottom portion 18 defining a V 24, with the apex 26 of the V 24 substantially parallel to the longitudinal centreline of the vehicle 10 and extending along a portion of the vehicle 10, and a second bottom portion 20 defining a V 28, with the apex 30 of the V 28 substantially parallel to the longitudinal centreline of the vehicle 10 and extending along another portion of the vehicle 10. The vehicle 10 further includes an engine detachably affixed to the body 12, a transmission connected to the engine, and a drive train assembly connected to the engine. The drive train assembly is detachably affixed to the body 12. The first bottom portion 18 further includes a metal energy-absorbing member extending longitudinally along within the interior of the first bottom portion 18. |
