Disclosed is an electrolyte composition which contains an ionic liquid having a dicyanoamide anion as the anion. A cation containing a quaternarized nitrogen atom may be an example of the cation of the ionic liquid. This electrolyte composition may contain a halogen-containing redox pair, and is used as an electrolyte for photoelectric converters.
