METHOD FOR REMOVAL OF FERROMAGNETIC FOREIGN BODIES FROM SOFT TISSUES

摘要

A method for the removal of the ferromagnetic foreign bodies from the soft tissues provides for the cut of the soft tissues in the projection of the foreign body followed by the removal of the foreign body with the forceps. The sterile magnet is attached to the skin in the projection of the foreign body for being a reference point for the surgical access. The following examination is performed after the cut placing the magnet into the wound with the aid of non-magnetic forceps.
