FIELD: engines and pumps. ^ SUBSTANCE: radial flow pump 10 comprises housing 12 wherein impeller 14 is arranged in cantilever on shaft 16 to revolve thereon. Housing 12 has axial inlet 20 and peripheral scroll 22 around impeller 14 leading to outlet 24. Impeller 14 has circular lateral walls 26 shifted axially relative to each other and having vanes 30 bent rearward and arranged between said lateral walls. Extra vanes 32, 34 are arranged outside of said lateral walls with a clearance from respective casing walls to generate pressure gradient that allows eliminating working fluid leaks or counteracting them. Front edges of said extra vanes are inclined along perpendicular to impeller side walls 26, 28, that is, front angles are arranged at blunt angle to said side walls. ^ EFFECT: increased life due to reduced wear of extra vanes and leaks. ^ 9 cl, 4 dwg |
