To provide a lubricating system for lubricating a piston traveling surface of a cylinder wall of a reciprocating internal combustion engine, in particular, a two-cycle large diesel engine of longitudinal scavenging type, and a method for adding lubricating oil. A lubricating system for lubricating a piston traveling surface of a cylinder wall has at least one lubricating oil nozzle disposed in a recess of the cylinder wall for a cylinder to apply lubricating oil onto the piston traveling surface. The lubricating oil is converted into at least one dense lubricating oil jet, and can be added tothe piston traveling surface of the cylinder wall, and the lubricating oil nozzle is designed so that atomization of the lubricating oil jet by the lubricating oil nozzle can be considerably avoided.In addition, a method for lubricating the cylinder wall of the cylinder of the reciprocating internal combustion engine having the lubrication system is proposed. |
