<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging body of an intermediate transfer unit configured so that it is fastened after easily elongating and adjusting the length thereof at the assembly work, and a fastening state is prevented from loosening due to the load of an impact or the like upon transport. <P>SOLUTION: The packaging body of the intermediate transfer unit includes: the intermediate transfer unit 1 wherein an intermediate transfer belt 10 holding a toner image is stretched to be laid between at least two rollers; first and second protecting members 2a and 2b separately including engagement parts 21 and 22 to be engaged with shafts 13 and 14 of the rollers in the intermediate transfer unit 1; and a band member 5 made of low elastic resin, stretched to be laid around the first and second protecting members and fastened in the state where the engagement parts of the first and second protecting members are engaged with the roller shafts, and keep the engagement state of the roller shafts with the engagement portions.
