<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for enhancing buffer performance of muscles and reducing fatigue of muscles by regulating accumulation of hydronium ions generated during continuous intense movement or movement continued under a locally low oxygen state. <P>SOLUTION: A composition comprising a β-alanylhistidine peptide and β-alanine, and glycine, insulin, an insulin-mimetic compound or an insulin action modifier, and a method for administering those peptides and amino acids are provided.
