<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multibeam antenna device which suppresses increase in the loss of a Rotman lens and improves the gain. <P>SOLUTION: If an array antenna in a space has a beam forming angleβ, as viewed from the front side of the array antenna, a partial curve has output terminals (31), (32), ..., and (3n) arranged therein; and the partial curve is intersected by a central line (8) of a Rotman lens at an intersection S2, and a line obtained by connecting one of input terminals with the intersection S2 and the central line (8) form an angelα. Then a relation ofβ<αis satisfied. Assume that an input terminal (21) is spaced from the intersection S2 by a distance F, the array antenna has an opening length 2Ln, a partial curve having input terminals (21), (22), ..., and (2m) arranged therein is intersected by the central line (8) at an intersection S3, the Rotman lens has a size G, corresponding to a distance between the intersections S2 and S3, and the array antenna has an opening length 2Ln. Then a relation ofη=(β/α)×(Ln/F)<1 is satisfied, and the shape of the Rotman lens is determined so that the size G is smaller than a size of the Rotman lens set whenβ=α. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
