PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recorder capable of easily removing a recording medium when the recording medium is clogged in a carrying passage, by obtaining the carrying passage for returning the recording medium, with a simple constitution. SOLUTION: A printer part 11 is formed with the carrying passage 65 composed of a curved passage 65A and a paper ejecting passage 65B, and a reversal carrying passage 67 composed of an inclined passage 67A and a straight line passage 67B. Recording paper reaching a recording part 24 by passing through the carrying passage 65 is carried to the paper ejecting passage 65B after recording an image on a surface, and then, is carried to the reversal carrying passage 67 to be recorded on a reverse surface. A third carrier roller 64 is arranged in the reversal carrying passage 67. A third pinch roller 109 is journaled by an upper plate 102 of a side guide 86 of a second tray 21 of a paper feeding cassette 78. The third pinch roller 109 abuts on the third carrier roller 64 when the paper feeding cassette 78 is installed, and is separated from the third carrier roller 64 when extracted.
