<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve processing efficiency in response to a retrieval request as a whole service system. Ž<P>SOLUTION: Multiplexing degree is set in each data management device 4, and a processing time required for a single retrieval request is long while the number of retrieval requests which can be simultaneously processed is large with a high multiplexing degree, and a processing time required for a single retrieval request is short while the number of retrieval requests which can be simultaneously processed is small with a low multiplexing degree. A service server device 3 predicts a processing time for each retrieval request from a user terminal 1, and assigns the retrieval request whose processing time is long to the data management device 4 whose multiplexing degree is low, and assigns the retrieval request whose processing time is short to the data management device 4 whose multiplexing degree is high, so that it is possible to improve the efficiency of the retrieval request processing. As for the retrieval request whose processing time is short, the processing is completed in a short period of time in the data management device 4 whose multiplexing degree is high, and even when the number of retrieval processing to be simultaneously executed is too large, the processing time can be prevented from becoming too long in comparison with the case wherein the retrieval requests are not simultaneously executed, so that it is possible to increase the number of retrieval processing which can be simultaneously executed as a whole.
