<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent damage of a sliding member due to wear debris in a scroll type compressor. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The scroll type compressor (1) includes a casing (10) having a bottom part thereof structured into an oil pocket part (10a), and a compression mechanism (30) including a pair of scrolls (31, 32) disposed in the casing (10) and mutually meshing. Lubricating oil in the oil pocket part (10a) is supplied to a sliding surface of a plurality of sliding members (70, 34, 37) of the compression mechanism (30). Magnets (52, 53) capturing wear debris in the lubricating oil is disposed in oil supply paths (72, 73) between at least two sliding surfaces of the sliding members (70, 34, 37) of the compression mechanism (30).
