<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for mounting a gutter, in which a drainage gutter made of a component material with rubber elasticity is provided between side plates facing each other in a girder joint gap of an expansion device for a road bridge, for enabling to mount the drainage gutter on the opposed portions of the side plates after the side plates are fixed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The gutter comprises protruding pieces which protrude to the outside of right and left side edges, respectively, and a knob piece which protrudes along the longitudinal direction to the outside of the gutter between the protruding pieces. A distance between the right and left protruding pieces is set as wide as or wider than the distance between the side plates. Also, retainer portions for locking the protruding pieces are provided respectively on the opposed sides of the side plates, and the protruding piece is locked to the retainer portion by pulling down the gutter with the knob piece after pushing the gutter between the side plates from below.
