<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner which secures a heat radiation property when it is stopped while improving sound insulation when it is driven. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner is provided with a space part 81 which covers above an electric blower 27 housed in a cleaner body 13 and is depressurized accompanying the drive of the electric blower 27. When the electric blower 27 is driven, the sound insulation of noise from the electric blower 27 in the space part 81 is improved by the depressurization of the space part 81. When the electric blower 27 is stopped, since the internal pressure of the space part 81 is restored to the atmospheric pressure, the heat radiation property is secured.
