The method involves fitting a transparent object to a support plate by a pressing process. The transparent object is illuminated by a coherent light beam through the support plate. The light beam is reflected by the transparent object. The reflected light is delivered as an object wave with coherent reference wave for the light beam over a photo addressable write once read many material for interference such that an interference pattern is written as a volume hologram in the photo addressable material. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for reading a hologram (2) a method for authenticated outputting a signature (3) a method for reinforcing an object wave during writing by four wave mixing (4) a method for reinforcing the object wave during reading by four wave mixing (5) an arrangement for writing the hologram (6) an arrangement for reading the hologram (7) an arrangement for blocking reconstruction of the object wave of the hologram.
