<p>Disclosed are a method and system for reporting location measurement, said method including: initiating location measurement for a terminal which is in idle mode; said idle-mode terminal sends the location measurement information to a base station, carrying said location measurement information in a random initial access request message. The system for reporting location measurement comprises: a base station for sending response messages and uplink resource assignment messages to a terminal; a terminal for initially accessing the base station after said terminal has initiated location measurement and for sending the request message which carries the location measurement information to the base station. The present invention enables a terminal which is in idle mode to report LBS (Location Based Service) location measurement parameters and information to a base station by using request messages through random initial access, and to use request messages to ask for resources so as to economize code resource overheads.</p> |
