PURPOSE: An intelligent type video monitoring system and a method thereof are provided to perform effective video search based on post event. CONSTITUTION: A digital signal processor(220) analyzes pattern of an image stored in RAM and distinguishes an object. The digital signal processor analyzes an outer pattern. The digital signal processor classifies a man and a vehicle. The digital signal processor compares the man and the vehicle with predetermined rule condition. If the man and the vehicle classified by the digital signal processor are coincide with predetermined rule condition, a network controller(240) transmits alert information.
