<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of reducing error in detection of focus caused because pixels constituting pairs of pixels for detecting focus receive luminous fluxes from different sections of an object. <P>SOLUTION: In this imaging device including a plurality of pixels for converting an image of the object photoelectrically, the pairs of pixels for detecting focus by means of detection of difference in phase is composed of first pixels SHA for detecting focus and second pixels SHB for detecting focus are dispersedly arranged. At this time, the first pixels for detecting focus and the second pixels for detecting focus are arranged by alternating their arrangements in two pairs of pixels for detecting focus being adjacent in the direction crossing the direction for detecting difference in phase orthogonally. Difference in phase between added image waveforms of a plurality of first image waveforms and added image waveforms of a plurality of second image waveforms obtained from a plurality of pairs of pixels for detecting focus having the alternated arrangements is obtained. Focus is detected by using the difference in phase of the added image waveforms when it is determined that noise included in the image of the object is big and by using an average value of the difference in phase of the added image waveforms when it is determined that noise included in the image of the object is not big. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
