<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of suppressing complication of the structure and the manufacturing process thereof; and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The EL device (display device) 100 includes a plurality of pixels 2, a reflective layer 23 provided in the pixel 2, a reflective layer oxide film 24 of a monolayer formed on the surface of the reflective layer 23 and made of an oxide of the reflective layer 23, and a counter electrode 28 formed through an organic light-emitting layer 27 in the upper part of an the reflective layer oxide film 24.
