<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and light centrifugal separator for a small engine, in a centrifugal separator for a small engine which has a centrifuge chamber constituted of: a crankshaft passing through a crankcase and journaled to the crankcase; an inner case supported by the crankshaft; and a cover member covering a cavity of the inner case from the outside, and in which oil is supplied to the centrifuge chamber from a shaft end hole of the crankshaft passing through the cover member. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The cavity part of the inner case includes a small-diameter part and a large diameter part, an inner peripheral face of the large-diameter part has a groove in which a C-shaped retaining ring is fitted, and an end face of the small-diameter part is disposed on an inner side further than the groove. The cover member is a plate-like member having an outer diameter smaller than an inner diameter of the large-diameter part, movement of the cover member in an inner direction is restricted by the end face of the small-diameter part, the C-shaped retaining ring fitted in the groove abuts on the outer periphery of an outer face of the cover member, and the movement of the cover member in an outer direction is restricted by the C-shaped retaining ring.
