The present invention relates to an air pressure turbine handpiece which is commonly used today. More specifically, the air pressure turbine handpiece of the present invention reduces noise substantially while providing enough torque for a medical bur. The air pressure turbine handpiece of the present invention comprises: a housing including a chamber; a hub installed in the housing and rotating axially; and a plurality of disks which are perpendicular to the axis and connected to the hub. The housing includes: a hole formed along the axis to accept the bur; and an input port formed to guide the fluid to flow into the chamber in a direction substantially tangential to the axis. The hub includes an axial channel to selectively mesh with the bur. The force caused by the boundary layer effect between the disks and the fluid allows the hub and the bur to rotate axially.
