PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage material capable of smoothly moving heat inside of the heat storage material and efficiently exchanging heat between the heat storage material and a heat medium, and to provide a heat accumulator using the heat storage material. SOLUTION: In this heat storage material 3, a solid heat storage substance 2 is held in a part of voids 4 of a heat conductive porous body 1 having continuous air holes, and high heat exchanging efficiency can be obtained with the heat medium by allowing the heat medium to flow inside of the heat storage material. As heat conductivity of the heat conductive porous body is higher than that of the solid heat storage substance, and they are integrally connected, the heat conductivity of the heat storage material can be significantly increased in comparison with a case when only the solid heat storage substance is used.
