PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground structure and an electrical connector using the same structure which grounds a cable to a shell by a simple method. SOLUTION: The ground structure is connected to the cable 40 having a plurality of core wires 401, an outer braid 402 for covering the core wires 401, and an outer covering 403 for covering the outer braid 402. In the ground structure, the outer braid 402 is folded back on the outer covering 403, and an elastic member 28 having elasticity, and pressing the outer braid 402 outwardly is arranged between the outer braid 402 and outer covering 403, and a ground member 30, which is in contact with the outer braid 402 and includes at least one scraping and contacting means for scraping a treated surface of the shell 20, is positioned on the folded outer braid 402.
