PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diagnostic agent and detecting method of lifestyle-related diseases and/or cancers utilizing a marker which enables diagnostic of lifestyle-habit diseases and/or cancers, especially, prescience of prognosis and recurrence. SOLUTION: This is the diagnostic agent of lifestyle-related diseases and/or cancers containing antibody to human angiopoietin-like factor-2 (ANGPTL2), wherein these lifestyle-related diseases include adipositas, insulin resistant syndrome, ischemic heart disease or inflammatory disease, diabetic retinopathy, abdominal aneurysm, angina, or any other chronic disease, the status of which is adversely affected by lifestyle including connective tissue diseases, including dermatomyositis, rheumatism, etc. In addition, the cancers include breast cancer, ovarian cancer, kidney cancer, liver cancer, uterine cancer or skin cancer.
