<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably on/off-control a contactor in a normal operation state while switching a contact point of the contactor to an off-state in a short period of time in an abnormality. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This power supply device for a vehicle includes: a high-voltage battery 1 which feeds power to a motor for traveling the vehicle; the contactor 4 connected to the output side of the high-voltage battery 1; and a control circuit 3 which on/off-controls the contact point 4b by controlling the carrying of electricity to an energization coil 4a of the contactor 4. The control circuit 3 includes: a normal blocking circuit 5 which switches the contact point 4b to an off-state by blocking the carrying of electricity to the energization coil 4a of the contactor 4; and a high-speed blocking circuit 6 which blocks a current to the energization coil 4a in a time shorter than that of the normal blocking circuit 5.
