PURPOSE: A producing method of a high-density alumina carrier for a hydrazine monopropellant thruster is provided to improve the density of the alumina carrier, and to reduce the specific surface area and the pore volume of the alumina carrier. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of a high-density alumina carrier comprises the following steps: uniformly dispersing a solution containing an aluminum precursor obtained by melting aluminum metal salt to a crushed commercial alumina by ball-milling; drying and heat-treating the dispersed aluminum precursor; repeating the steps of dispersing, drying and heat-treating; saturating the alumina with an ammonia solution; and drying and heat-treating the saturated alumina. The aluminum metal salt contains anhydride or hydrate of hydrochloric acid aluminum or aluminum nitrate, and aluminum alcoholate. |
