Disclosed are a real-time multimedia reproducing apparatus and a multimedia reproducing system using the same. The apparatus that receives multimedia data from an external transmitting apparatus and reproduces the multimedia data comprises: a reception data storage unit that stores the received multimedia data, a variation detection unit that detects the variation in the amount of data stored in the reception data storage unit, and a reproducing speed adjustment unit that adjusts reproducing speed of multimedia according to the detected variation. Therefore, when the multimedia is transmitted from the transmitting device through wireless communication, the apparatus is able to adjust the reproducing speed of the multimedia so that a received multimedia signal may be continuously reproduced in real time like one from a transmitting device.
