PURPOSE: A contents protection system on client platforms and a method thereof are provided to protect contents received from a content server. CONSTITUTION: A client security management layer(310) receives an encrypted contents key from a component executed in a processor. The client security management layer checks integrity of the component. The client security management layer decrypts the encrypted contents key. The client security management layer provides the decrypted contents key. The client security management layer arranges the decrypted contents key in a protected area of a memory in response to the integrity of the component.
