<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a β-phosphoglucomutase having excellent heat resistance, a method for producing the same and uses of the same. <P>SOLUTION: It has been found that the β-phosphoglucomutase recombinase derived from Thermoanaerobacter brockii ATCC 35047 known as an anaerobic thermophilic bacterium having excellent heat resistance has excellent heat resistance to enable enzymatic reaction even at 65°C, by measuring properties of the enzyme in purified state. The enzyme can be used at a temperature higher than the use temperature of conventional enzyme and, accordingly, reaction for a long time period can be performed with a small amount of the enzyme and risk of sundry germ contamination of the reaction liquid is reduced. There are further provided a DNA encoding the enzyme, a method for producing the enzyme, and a method for producing an oligosaccharide by using the enzyme. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
