<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a chip card of an electronic unit such as a SIM (subscriber identification module) card to be used for identifying a user of a mobile station and a subscriber in a communication network service. <P>SOLUTION: An electrical connection between a connector and a chip card is established by a metal ball (3A) fixed on a flexible portion (4A) of a connection spring. The ball (3A) is welded on a ball bed formed on the spring (4a) and is supported by an edge part of a frame opening (3B). By being supported by the ball (3a) and the edge part (3B), the chip card can be inserted into the connector from several directions.
