<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traffic monitoring point detection device contributing to safe driving by detecting a traffic monitoring point existing in the periphery, and by reporting proper and useful information related thereto. <P>SOLUTION: This device includes a GPS receiver for detecting the position of own vehicle; a database for storing position information of a traffic monitoring point; and a control part for extracting the traffic monitoring point which is an alarm object based on present position information detected by the GPS receiver and position information of the traffic monitoring point stored in the database, and drawing and outputting an alarm related to the extracted traffic monitoring point on a main display domain R1 of a display part.
