<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curing agent for a radical polymerization type thermosetting resin capable of enhancing curing speed of the radical polymerization type thermosetting resin, suppressing a residue of an unsaturated monomer and giving satisfactory surface appearance characteristics of a molded product, and to provide a molding material including the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The curing agent for radical polymerization type thermosetting resin includes di-t-alkyl peroxy ketal represented by general formula (1) (wherein, R denotes a 1-5C straight or branched alkyl, R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>each denotes a 1-4C straight or branched alkyl and R<SP>1</SP>and R<SP>2</SP>may have the same structure).
