<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent wood pieces and dirt from being caught by an intake screen. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This screen cover 10 is formed of a bamboo material 11 which is disposed at a water intake 2 to which the screen 3 is attached and has gaps allowing water to pass therethrough. Portions of the screen cover which are positioned under a predetermined height are formed so that an angle between the surface of each portion and a straight line connecting each portion and the bottom end of the water intake 2 is 45° or below. The portions of the screen cover which are positioned above the predetermined height are formed so that an angle between the surface of each portion and a straight line connecting each portion and the bottom end of the water intake 2 is not smaller than 45°. One end of the screen cover is fixedly attached to the upper part of the water intake 2, and the other end is fixedly attached to the upstream side water bottom of the water intake 2.
