PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for solidifying a waste liquid of boric acid which is excellent in energy efficiency and shortens the treatment time while preventing the instant condensation in the solidification of the waste liquid of boric acid, facilitating the handling of the solidified waste liquid of boric acid and decreasing the quantity of waste by curbing the usage of extra additives and the like. SOLUTION: After a borate solution is prepared by adding a monovalent alkali metal hydroxide to the waste liquid of boric acid to neutralize it, heating treatment is given to it to prepare a condensed borate solution where the concentration of the borate in the borate solution is 62 wt.% or higher in terms of boric acid. Moreover, cement of 0.17 to 0.33% in the total weight is added to and mixed with the condensed borate solution to solidify it. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
