PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of curing an end of a heat insulting refractory material lined on the outer periphery of a pipe, preventing generation of a gap caused by refractory material shrinkage in the end part of the heat insulting refractory material after lining and eliminating the necessity of a process of applying a specific work to the heat insulating material itself. SOLUTION: This method includes: a process of arranging press fixation plates 10 on upper and lower faces of a ceramic fiber refractory material 8 having a half-divided shape and applying external pressure from the outer sides of the press fixation plates 10 to perform 40-60% compression; a process of superposing and lining the ceramic fiber refractory material 8 having the half-divided shape in the compressed state on the end of the heat insulating refractory material 5 lined on the outer periphery of the pipe 3; and a process of releasing the compression and restoring the ceramic fiber refractory material 8 having the half-divided shape.
