PURPOSE: A method of constructing a large ship using underwater copper dam in a small ship-constructing site is provided to increase the competitiveness of a small ship-constructing site by expanding the limit of the constructing size of a ship. CONSTITUTION: A method of constructing a large ship using underwater copper dam in a small ship-constructing site is as follows. One ship is formed in a predetermined form. The ship is divided into a high weight hull(A) having a large volume and a movable hull(B) operable through an engine room and a screw. Each hull is manufactured by assigning the hulls to one or more ship-constructing sites. For the hulls and the hull assembly in different ship-constructing sites, the hull having the mobility moves to the workplace where the other hull exists. The hulls on ocean are coupled. The bonding wire between the hull and the other hull are welded in order to assemble them. The underwater copper dam of a predetermined form is fixed to the hull through the underwater welding. The seawater is discharged from the underwater copper dam and the hull. The hull is kept in a dry state.
