<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of regenerating proper ion exchange resin at all times, and properly retaining nature of fluid by preventing fluid in a tube channel from contamination by a regenerant. <P>SOLUTION: A bypass piping 17 is connected to a circulation piping 12 connected with a fuel cell 11 in parallel with a pump 13, and a first and a second regenerant liquid tanks 25, 32 are connected to a first and a second ion exchangers 18, 19 provided at the piping 17 through tube channels 24, 31. A first and a second waste fluid tanks 29, 36 are connected to the first and the second ion exchangers 18, 19 through tube channels 28, 35. Pumps 26, 33 are fitted at the tube channels 24, 31. Electromagnetic switching valves 22, 23, 27, 30, 34, 37 are on/off controlled and regenerant liquid is supplied from the first and the second regenerant liquid tanks 25, 32 into the first and the second ion exchangers 18, 19 to carry out regeneration of the ion exchange resin.
