摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device enabling observation of a bright image even in a state with a polarizing glasses put on.

SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has: a liquid crystal cell; a polarizer arranged on the display side of the liquid crystal cell; and an optical conversion layer which is arranged closer to the display side than the polarizer, and has a function for converting linear polarization having passed through the polarizer into elliptic polarization.
